Shieh, Chairmanand Professor, Department of Veterinary Medicine, National Chung--Hsing University, Taichung, Taiwan requested amendment of theeffective date of foreign research grant FG--Ta--101 "Avian Inf-luenza Surveillance in Taiwan, R.O.C ". Since the research under this project did not get under way unt-il December 1, 1986, and grant funds were neither obligated norexpended prior to the proposed new effective date, foreign rese-arch grant FG--Ta--101 is hereby amended to change the startingdate of September 30, 1986, originally approved under the grantto December 1, 1986. This change in starting date will automati-cally change the date the project is to be completed. All otherprovisions of the grant remain unchanged. This amendment will become official upon your signature in the space provided below.
