1 The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of China and the Minist-ry of Justice of the Republic of Korea (hereinafter referred to as”the Parties”) , Being desirous of promoting mutual understanding in the judicialsystems between the Republic of China and the Republic of Korea,and Having acknowledged the need to exchange literature and oth-er materials (hereinafter referred to as the ”materials”) rel-ating to judicial systems of both Parties, Have agreed as follows: 1 Method of exchanging materials (1) Requests for the exchange of materials between the Partiesshall be made by letter. (2) As to important publications among materials, the Parties s-hall exchange with two copies each, to the extent possible, even when there is no request from the other Party. 2 Contents of materials to be exchanged Any materials relating to judicial system, law and decree, ju-risprudence, judicial statistics, judicial precedents, etc. ofboth countries shall be included among the lists to be exchan-ged. 3 Purpose of using materials exchanged The materials exchanged under this Agreement shall be used forthe official reference of both countries; if either Party wan-ts to release such materials to the Public, a prior approval from the other Party shall be obtained. This Agreement shall enter into force upon signature by both Parties and shall remain in force for a period of five years unless otherwise agreed upon by both Parties.
